Looking for work – Podiatry Assistant Casual

Hi,
I might be going out on a limb here (no pun intended:dizzy::dizzy, but I’m currently studying at QUT in Brisbane but I live around the Coolangatta area (South Queensland). I was looking to pick up some casual work as a Pod assistant a few days week Thursday/Fridays/Saturdays (~12hrs per/week). I have previous experience as a dental assistant and I’m familiar with reception work duties/stock ordering as well which I’m sure I could easily translate into the Podiatry side.
I have had a hunt around for such positions but it seems they are very few and far between…. :bash::bash:
Would anyone maybe suggest I try cold calling a practise to see if they might be interested in an assistant? – Just though It might be an idea,
