Can anyone advise me of the best company in the UK to deal with for sterilised instruments?

The type of service I am after, is that they will drop them off weekly and collect the dirty instruments for cleaning.

Try your local hospital CSSD (central sterilisation unit) and see if they can offer what your after?
Alternatively there are always disposable instruments or get yourself an autoclave and do it yourself.
    Hope that helps
    Cheers

    Hi Esky,
We use a mix of steripod and b braun in our trust. B braun own the instruments, steripod sterilizes them and drops them off/ picks them up. I believe it was done that way due to the set up costs of buying our own instruments but I'm not sure!
    Hope this helps,
    Foot

    Hi

We use a company called Synergy Health PLC ( www.synergyhealthplc.com ) to collect, sterilise and return instrument packs

    Hello All,

If any of you are already using CSSD services for you instruments what is the cost per pack, how long is the turn around and what tracking and tracing protocols are used.

Could you also be so kind as to provide weblinks to the companies you use.

I'm in the Hertfordshire region but also near the Bucks Beds boarders.

Hello All, I have been researching the costs of out sourcing CSSD and cannot get the costs below or near the puchase price of single use £2.99 to £3.60 per pack with Disposable Medical Instruments.

The problem they say is in the pick-up and delivery system and would only be viable if we had drop off pick-up centers, they consider orders of 75 packs per week too small.
