    Hi everyone,

I'm after some clarification on exactly what sort of income to expect in my first year of practice?? also what kind of money do australian podiatrists earn in general??

Ive heard many different answers to this question and was hoping to possibly get some factual answers from podiatrists excplaining their individual incomes.

    Thanks

Public sector rates for a graduate in Victoria (Grade 1 Year 2) are at about $46,000 plus super and salary packaging. If you are able to secure a Grade 2 position as a new grad, which is now happening less often, $57K plus super and salary packaging. Private practice rates will vary a fair bit based upon hours worked (evenings, Sat am etc.) and wether you are on a profit share or just a wage, but tend to start between $50 and $60k.

Welcome Jarrydo, I will have to do the welcome here as you missed the introduction forum :))
Can still be good to go there, then if anyone is looking you up to see who you are it is very easy.
if you want replies some of your colleagues prefer the courtesy of a real name. Are you a student? Garduate?
Perhaps some advise is to be mindful if profit sharing to fins out exactly what is involved, how many clients you already have, 70% of nothing or 40% of nothing does not pay the rent.
    Cheers
