5th metatarsal base fx & sprain in athlete, continued pain and mixed recovery recommendations

    Hi and thanks in advance for any help! I've been reading these forums and trying to gather as much information as possible but still hoped for more specific information. I fractured the base of my 5th metatarsal (it had been hurting for years running, and I twisted it in platform shoes) and was given conflicting advice from doctors on how to heal it in the Spanish public system. From what I can tell in my xray and what I tried to glean from the doctors, it is avulsion and not a Jones...
