I've been working as a qualified podiatrist for two years in Australia and would really love to travel to the UK and work a little whilst sight seeing for approx a year or less. I was wondering if anyone knows of any recruitment agencies that could offer a package for employment and possibly accomodation?
    Thanks :)

    Julz,

I worked on and off in the UK over '04-'06 and can strongly recommend registering with a few different agencies. Try Reed Health and Holt Medical as well. You can then weigh up the different opportunities/job offers, and once you have a bit of UK work experience you are in a stronger negotiating position in terms of hourly rates etc.

Last I heard a lot of NHS work was drying up due to funding issues - locums eat up so much revenue - so the case might be different if you work in the private sector (where there are relatively more work opportunities now).

Podiatryzone.com used to be a great intermediatory for jobseekers/employers/agencies for UK and Australia, but unfortunately doesn't exist anymore - does anyone have any idea what happened to it or if something similar replaced it?

    Helen
