Hi, 2 years ago we had a private practice forum for Vic based pods. There was a lot of information shared that was to go onto the Assoc pod site? This did not happen that I am aware of.
One of the topics discussed was external storage/access/ backup for computer data.
Could anyone using an offsite backup let me know of your experience, who you use? Type of costs involved.
I did look at this some time ago but did not follow through, I a have no doubt it has all changed since then.

    Thanks

    Hi Heather
From memory you are using Front desk so be really careful because your PMS is based in SQL server and can lead to problems with automated backups as described in the other thread.

Smartsoft have an automated backup tool you can use which date stamps all backups so they don't overwrite each other, which is really handy if you need to cherry pick data.

Just please remember that OFF site backups are crucial in the event of disaster!

Please give me a call if you want to chat about it.

    Regards
    Stuart
