    Is there a specific guide to use to compare doppler printouts - I can recognize whether there are peaks or waves and whether the pulse is biphasic but I feel there is still lots more that I could learn?
    Thanks

    Interpretation of hand-held Doppler ultrasound is a qualitative skill, but can be combined with segmental pressures to give more direct information.

    You might find this of help, and there are plenty of journal articles and texts on the subject;

    Hope this helps,

    That is a good question.I guess you can consult in vascular texts and articles.Do realize that the ABI can be falsely elevated in calcification of arteries.A good ABI is about 1.00.
