I guess minimalism did not do much for the arch back in 1AD either

Also visited Ephesus back in 2006. The best tour ever for me & our guide made it even more special as he was so inspired by his subject that his enthusiasm was infectious. I suspect there were a greater proportion of flat footed males in the ancient city though after following all the direction markings to ladies of dubious virtue.

Shame they wore sandals & not a pair of trainers. Other brands are available. ;)

    Kind regards, Mandy

You're right twirly, Ephesus is worth a visit, for the educational and cultural bit of course! Loved it there, especially when the dirt is washed off the mosaic pavements and you can see the colours suddenly come to life.

Of course a trip to the library in Ephesus, in ancient days, would have been interesting, with its underground passage to the place of ill repute opposite!!!!

R Ian, I spent almost an entire day speechless. A never been repeated occurrence. Oddly enough Himself wants to go back.....

;) Loves a bit of culture, obviously.
