We are on the lookout for another podiatrist; if you are an exceptional podiatrist who shares our values we would love to hear from you.

The position can be full or part time. It is a permanent position, although we would consider a one year contract for someone on a working holiday.

    ABOUT US

‘Excellence in Podiatry’ is not just a slogan, it is our reason for being. Our business depends on us being the best at what we do, and so does our job satisfaction. We are widely considered to be the area’s premier podiatry clinic, and enjoy a peerless local reputation.

Although open only four years, due to our reputation we already have a long waiting list for new patients. We are proud that more than half of our business comes from professional referrals, plus many more are recommended by our patients.

Fit Feet Podiatry is a general practice, with a particularly strong reputation in biomechanics. However, if there is a different area of expertise you are interested in developing, talk to us and we’ll see if you can spend more of your day doing what you love.

We have great relationships with a wide range of local health professionals, and work closely with them for a multidisciplinary approach. Our clinical rooms are light and airy, located in a landmark building in the city centre. We boast an in house orthotic lab.

We aim to expand at the rate we can find high quality people who share our values. Of course, with business growth will come opportunities for career growth.

    ABOUT YOU

You will have two years or more experience, a gentle touch, be confident with biomechanics, have well honed clinical skills across all areas of podiatric practice, and have a commitment to further learning.

You employ reflective practice to fill gaps in knowledge or experience, and are committed to continual professional development.

You pay attention to detail, take pride in your high standards of work, and live up to our ‘excellence in podiatry’ motto. You are friendly, positive, and have great communication skills.

Perhaps you are frustrated with your existing job not giving you enough time per patient to do the great job you want to, lacking opportunities to develop professionally, or your employer is only concerned with how much you can make the company. You may have an area of special interest you wish to develop and are unable to.

You will need to be eligible to work in NZ. Information on eligibility can be found at www.immigration.govt.nz

    WHY WORK FOR US?

We have thought long and hard about how we as a new, but expanding clinic can attract the kind of high quality staff we are looking for:

Because of our high standards, there are easier jobs to be had, but if you are the sort of person we are looking for, few jobs will offer the satisfaction or career opportunities we can.

We are at the top of our game, and if you are too (or are on your way there), you will fit in well. As we expand, further career opportunities will arise.

We give you adequate time per patient to do a quality job, giving you time to look for the causes of problems and long term solutions rather than just ‘cut and come again’.
If you have a special interest you would like to develop, talk to us and we’ll see if we can make it happen.

We work closely with a wide range of local health professionals, and our practice is highly respected by them.

We are the area’s premier podiatry clinic, and you can take pride in working here.

We have great video gait analysis and pressure scanning systems, and only use top quality equipment and consumables.

Some flexibility in hours is possible – if we can oblige we will.

Although you will recommend orthotics and products where helpful to the patient, there is no hard sell at Fit Feet Podiatry, and you are not an orthotics salesperson!

The lead podiatrist is there for advice and second opinions, or to discuss cases.
