    Hello
    Please advise if you can
    8 year old girl - hx of a rash on the dorsum of one foot
    General practitioner treated for ringworm - topical and oral meds
    Not cured the lesion
    Lamisil has being used for a long time. Sort of subdued the rash but not cures it
    Slight itch at times. Also slight pain now and again.

    ANY IDEAS ????

    Hi Dennis,

    The lesion in the photo does not have the appearance of tinea, but if a topical corticosteroid has been applied then the clinical picture will be skewed. Does the child have any allergies, as the rash has the hallmarks of dermatitis. Could be contact or atopic as the dorsum is quite a common area for eczema flares.

    It presents so weird that I am unsure My SA colleagues say urticaria.
    I am going to go with an antihistamine cream for a while
