More and more research is being published on the foot-occlusal link. Ogliara and Greven report a direct link between the weight distribution on the plantar surface of the feet to the malocclusion and resulting FHP. Specifically, a class II occlusion (overbite) was linked to excessive forefoot loading (more weight carried on the forefoot relative to the rearfoot).

This parallels my findings that gravity drive pronation (seen in the PreClinical Clubfoot Deformity and RFS) weight is carried on the forefoot and is almost invariably linked to a Class II Occlusion (and vice versa).
Any Comment(s) from dentists?
