    Please, can someone recommend a reference that specifically defines the push-off and toe-off phases of the gait cycle.

    Toe-off is not a phase of gait, it is an event during the gait cycle. Toe-off is defined as that instant in time when the toes leave the ground at the end of the stance phase of gait. Push-off is not a standardly used term, that I know of. However, possibly if push-off is synonymous with propulsion, then that would be the phase of gait from heel-off (when the heel raises from the ground) to toe-off.

    Rancho Los Amigos gait terminology is taught in most physical therapy curriculums.

    It gives specific phases of gait, exact measurements of AROM required in each cycle, which muscles are active, etc
