    Hi there everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself to the members of the forum and say that it is great to see such a comprehensive membership.
I have a different reason for joining this forum. I am a bootfitter that specialises in midstance sports (Ski/Snowboard,and Cycle) alignment, athletic/hiking footwear and accomadative orthoses. I started working in this line of work when I was 14 and rapidly realised that there is a whole lot more to bootfitting than just the boots. I have been a student of podiatry for twenty years becuase it helps me do my job better. I see hundreds of feet a year and many times am the first to speek to our clients about what might be causing their problems. It is crucial for people in my job to learn to recognise issues and to built referals with local podiatry, physio-therapy and medical professionals in order to deliver my customers with the very best advice and products.
Although I have no medical certifications in the field of podiatry, I have trained with some of the States finest bootfitters and podiatry professionals. I hope that I can, not only learn from the abundance of knowledge you all hold but also share my twenty years of experience in the outdoor and snowsports industry.
it is a pleasure to be a part of this forum
    Regards to all
    James
