SENIOR / PODIATRIST
Responsibilities:
You will assess, diagnose and implement treatment for a range of problems related to the foot and lower limbs in the primary care setting. Using your specialist skills, you will treat a broad spectrum of patients ranging from low risk foot conditions such as corns, calluses and pathological nail conditions to high-risk diabetic foot ulcers. You will also be involved in managing musculoskeletal conditions such as the prescription of custom-made foot orthoses. In addition, you will educate patients, family members and caregivers on preventive foot, provide continuing treatment of foot disorders as well as conduct talks relating to foot care. You can also expect to contribute towards continuous quality improvement in the department and provide guidance to trainees and students.

Requirements:

•  Bachelor Degree in Podiatry from a recognized university.
•  Registration with the relevant governing body of the profession, if applicable.
•  Ability to work independently in a challenging environment and with the multi-disciplinary team.
•  Ability to demonstrate and articulate sound clinical knowledge and reasoning, critical thinking, judgment and decision making in the provision of care.
•  Willingness to work at a different polyclinic location from time to time.
•  Patient-focused and a genuine desire to make a difference.
•  A passion in building a healthcare career with inspiration to move ahead in primary care despite challenges, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
