    Hi

I have been looking at the recommended Australian Podiatry Payrates from the APODA for an outline of locum payrates. However I cannot locate recommendations for locum rates...? Do they exist or is it an agreement between the two parties...?

    Cheers

There are minimum award rates for podiatrists which vary from state to state and between the public and private sector, but they generally add a 25% loading to the hourly rate for locum staff.

These are the minimum that can be legally paid, and start as low as $20 per hour, (Victorian Private Sector award) so you would be better off negatiating an individual agreement that was paid at a more appropriate rate. The public sector rates are less negotiable and vary between $27 and $50 per hour (in Victoria) depending on job requirements and experience
