I am moving back to Bonnie Scotland from Australia in September and I am looking for some advice on the current Podiatry situation in the UK...

I know that jobs with the NHS are few and far between, however are there any private practices looking for an additional Podiatrist? I would obviously prefer to stay in Scotland however I am realistic, I know I may have to relocate.

Please advise on any other websites/journals I can look in for any posts.

    Thanks :)

Hi. I moved back from Melbourne last July. I'm still unemployed but I have a couple of NHS interviews coming up. It's a tough market at the moment and I wish you luck. I noticed 2 jobs in Scotland last week being advertised on the job centre website. Register with the NHS website too. Try the Society's website/Podiatry Now and then agencies such as Pulse. Finally if your initial experience in Oz has been bad maybe try to change your job if you can?

Thanks Deborah. I have already been keeping an eye on what you suggested, thanks for your advice though. My job here is great, just don't want the commitment of anything longer over here so that's why I am coming home. I am keeping my options open at the minute!
