does anyone know what are the common types of foot musculoskeletal conditions?
does posterior tibial dysfunction/ muscular dystrophy classify as such conditions?

Apologies, this seems like an unusual question to ask here!

Reading the relevant chapter in foot and ankle textbook e.g. Neale's Disorders of the Foot and Ankle, or reading the foot/ankle chapter of an orthopaedic textbook might be a good place to start, but

For a lay person's introduction, maybe look at:

AOFAS' (American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society) patient education site?
    http://www.aofas.org/footcaremd/conditions/Pages/conditions.aspx

ACFAS' (American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons) patient education site:
    http://www.foothealthfacts.org/Content.aspx?id=1571

Otherwise, a couple of random relevant citations to get you started (thanks PubMed!)

Re: epidemiology of foot and ankle conditions:

Dunn JE, Link CL, Felson DT, Crincoli MG, Keysor JJ, McKinlay JB.2004 Prevalence of foot and ankle conditions in a multiethnic community sample of older adults. Am J Epidemiol. 2004 Mar 1;159(5):491-8.

Bonanno, DR, Medica, VG, Tan, DS, Spring, AA, Bird, AR, Gazarek, J. 2014. Evaluating the outcomes of a podiatry-led assessment service in a public hospital orthopaedic unit. Journal of Foot and Ankle Research 2014, 7:45
(has an interesting table of particular conditions that were referred to a hospital Orthopaedic department).

Re: Posterior Tibialis issues in particular
Kohls-Gatzoulis J, Woods B, Angel JC, Singh D. 2009. The prevalence of symptomatic posterior tibialis tendon dysfunction in women over the age of 40 in England. Foot Ankle Surg. 15(2):75-81. doi: 10.1016/j.fas.2008.08.003. Epub 2008 Oct 1.
(came out with about a 3.3% prevalence in this population)

Remembering of course that posterior tibial tendon dysfunction is often not mentioned in the literature: a lot of prevalence studies look at self-reported foot pain, arthritis, flatfoot, etc which can all involve post tib problems among other things.
