<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comIf you are HPC registered for over 3 yrs, are based in or close to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Southampton, and have considered becoming a supervisor or have experience. Then we may be able to talk, because I need to structure an update plan to resume HPC registration. I have thought that it ought to be mutually beneficial to all parties, by drawing upon all of my existing skills and experience as well as exposing me to any that I need to refresh. It need not be limited to private practice, eg. if there was potential to collaborate with the Uni. of Southampton I would also be interested.

I am a fully qualified Podiatrist, with 7 years total of clinical experience, including 3 in a NHS specialist biomechanics service, 2 in Australia following my course completion there and 2 recent years working in a Spanish private practice.
HPC guidance states that I will need to complete 60 days updating. Up to 30 of these days can be private study, with the remaining 30 to be either supervised practice and/or formal study.
My areas of interest are:
Diabetes Care: wound care, footwear advice.
Preventative Health Promotion: the important role of healthy feet in helping to promote and maintain general health.
Sports Related Injuries: wide ranging experience in treating sports persons, through rehabilitative exercises, manufactured and prescribed custom orthoses as well as standard.
I am currently employed in a non clinical full time NHS post in Hampshire. I have much experience in private practice management and business administration, such as accounts and database management, ordering supplies, orthotic manufacture, as well as having experience in a NHS commissioning/finance department.
My deadline to complete the supervision is by January 2013.
Please pm me with your details if you would like to discuss this.
Kind regards,
John Gregory
