    Hi all,

I'm starting work at a couple of nursing homes and I am wanting to buy some equipment that will save my back.

I'm looking at a low chair on wheels for myself ($160) and a foot stool/leg rest/whatchamicallit ($160) and was wondering if these were around the average prices that you would pay. The chair is pretty good so I'm happy to pay that however the leg rest seems a little excessive for what it is. I'm in Perth and dropped into our local supplier which is where I received the quotes.

Can you guys suggest anywhere on the internet or a supplier that may offer a better price, or perhaps whether you think this is about the right amount I would expect to pay.

    Thanks for reading

Welcome byrnedog, you almost snuck in under the radar by not going to the introductions. Personally I found putting the clients foot on my kneew much better as I could lift them and move them around, possibly not ergonomically sound but for me much easier than the (damwhatchamicallit).

    Cheers

Have a look on ebay for pedi stools which is a stool and footrest in one which is on wheels so easy to move around and it will cost you about $120 all.
