    Hello Podiatrists,

Would some of you please rate the current treatment options by patient relief:
eg; Tea tree oil vs lamisil vs laser treatment,
for onychomycosis that has not spread proximal to the epinychium or for infection that has spread and is in the root/matrix area and for infection that is distal to the epinychium.

I am in the business of developing a better agent/s in the war against the fungi causing onychomycosis. Currently, I am impressed by generic Lamisil, the positive benefits of Laser, and the alternative treatments of tea tree oil. What in your opinion is the number one request of your healthy patients, diabetic patients, and immuno-compromised patients? Is it simply a cosmetic relief request?

Would the patients agree to a daily use cream at home for a year or forever?
Would they accept a messy oil?
How many are desperate and would agree to join clinical trials?
Would they prefer a drastic one day surgery with material injectable by podiatrists?

I am reaching out to you to help us develop a better suite of products to serve your customers better. What better place than a forum of informed and dedicated podiatrists willing to share their expertise in onychomycosis patient care needs.

Please post what you wish could be made available and in what form of delivery and length of treatment. Together, we can win the war against a team of fungi. My apologies for the delay it will take to bring relief to your clients, because with your help we will first have to test the products and some have yet to be developed.
