I am trying to work out if non-surgical treatment of Morton's neuroma is of any benefit?
If you can follow my train of thought in the following case.... Onset of Morton's neuroma most likely caused by wearing of trainers which were too tight. shoes now discarded! Pain and click only felt whilst walking without shoes. My point is.... if orthotics help in treatment why would you bother if pain is not felt whilst in shoes (when orthotics would be used) I am assuming wearing of orthosis will not actually reduce/resolve thickening of the nerve? thoughts?

I don't think we know what happens to the thickening of the nerve when treatment is successful

  3. Now that would be a good research question
