    Morning all,

Would anyone know if I/my hospital would need special permission to use the University of Texas wound classification system in our clinical notes?
We have moved from paper notes to a computer based system now and the Sr management team have asked the above question. I had always assumed this type of thing was fair game so never gave it a thought. Now I'm second guessing myself

    Any ideas?

    Regards

    Nick

Not for that you don't. There are no strings attached to its use and it is not "copyrighted".

Occasionally you do come across an outcome measure that is copyrighted and does have strings (and even payment) associated with it use.
