I'm expecting to graduate my four year Podiatry degree at La Trobe University in Melbourne (Australia) at the end of this year.

Just recently I've been discussing with others about the possibility of continuing my education/work experience over in the USA. My question is: what would be the best way for someone like myself to further their work experience in the United States? Would I be able to obtain registration in a Podiatry assistant role just with my Podiatry degree? Is there any exams that you would need to complete to be considered for an application?

I've scanned the APMA website, but I could not find any links that could provide me with information regarding queries like mine.

For someone in my position, would anyone have any advice about the best way to further their Podiatry clinical experience in the USA?

Any brief suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks Tom.

    Hi Tom,

There have been previous discussions RE: Non - US trained individuals working (in a limited capacity) in the States:

Hopefully you will have more replies too.

    Good luck,

    Mandy.
