i am trying to find evidence in the literature that demonstrates that secondary symptoms/pain/pathology can be elicited on the uninjured or contralateral foot from compensated gait due to primary foot problem

Does anyone have any evidence. I know clinically people constantly complain of new symptoms of their "good" foot after developed the initial pain on the other foot. Or other lower extremity problems. I'm trying to help out a patient who was granted military pension for one foot only

I pretty confident that there is no research evidence on this .....

Is that because it is not believed to be true or just no research has been done to substantiate it ?
