    Hello fellow Podiatrist's

I've just moved over from the Uk to Australia. Spent a few years working within the hospital system and considering setting up private practise here in Australia.

Was hoping for a little help with estimating initial set-up costs for setting up a small podiatry clinic. I'm unsure on cost for equipment here within Australia.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Lee

Ask your suppliers directly for written quotes

Algeos, DBSMedical, Oapl, google you heart out you will find plenty out there...

  3. HI Lee,
    Thanks for the thread.
If you are interested in practice management you could try Nookal, its only $65 per month with no start up costs.
Let me know if want some more info.
    Regards

I'm in Christchurch, New Zealand and I find it much much cheaper to buy from the UK.
The kiwi dollar is riding high and I have a good supplier of instruments and equipment in London. Even with shipping and GST (which I can reclaim) everything is half price. BUT not so easy to return if there is a problem.

Another supplier is Briggate -Their catalogue is ful of visuals to help you choose styles colours of Pod chairs and much fancy equipment if you wish.

Once you fill your heart with all you'd like, you may want to contact Medfin as an example of financiers for your equipment. DBS Supplier and others will also suggest other financiers.

    As a taste of costs-
    $Pod chair $5000 (average)
    $Autoclave $ 5000
    Doppler $3000
Instruments quality set $200 roughly each:welcome:

I use bentra, they can send you a catalogue of their items and USL often has good specials on strapping tape. Also Crown dental is good for instruments. Hope this helps
