I want to draw your attention to your bedside manner. i.e. your behaviour and relationship with the patient and how to have a consult go as smoothly as possible. Communicating clearly. Not being arrogant. Most patient complaints come from an arrogant bedside manner, not explaining things or just not caring enough during the consult. These skills are known by all of us just sometimes we need reminding. And they can be learned.

I am asking for your tips on how to put a patient at ease and how you socially relate to your patients.

At the end of the day what you are communicates much more than anything you can say to the patient. Be confident -they will feel that.
