    I've been dealing with intense heel pain for a long time now (2+ years) and after seeing my GP she sent me to get night splints, told me to do stretching exercises, etc. after telling me I had plantar fasciitis sp?)

    Since my problem has not gotten better, I went to a podiatrist today and he told me I do have plantar fascitis but my bigger problem is tight arches. He said the only thing he would do for me is tell me to go get a shoe with a 1-3 inch heel on it, that he wouldn't do anything...
