I am a podiatrist. Dec 12th 2013 i had a second toe weils osteotomy with cheilectomy and EDL 2 plasty. A synova was removed during surgery. I have hallux abductovalgus which doesnt warrant surgery and a mortons 2nd toe. Post healing good with some localised swelling 10 weeks on. The area is sore rather than painful when walking. How long should I expect the area to be sore, what exercise should I be doing if any and what is the medium term and long term prognosis. I was a walker. I have started to use acupuncture to reduce swelling and use a silicon pad to reduce pressure from footwear and assist scar tissue. Thanks
