    Hi,
I seem to be downloading lots of different forms to register as a podiatrist in Melbourne. I am right in thinking i only have to complete the one form from the podiatry board of Australia?
Also, if I apply for it now, will it still be valid if i don't come out to Oz til next year? Also the CPR requirement, is there any particular company i should do it through?

Thanks for any help and advice you can give.

    Lucy

  2. Lucy Ive always found the best place to get this type of info is from the Horses mouth, so contact the Podiarty Board directly, things are changing a great deal in OZ to do with reg etc. Maybe a phone call might be the best place to start, rather than an email. The staff have always been great to me when talking to them on the phone.

    Hi Lucy,

I'm going through the same process although I have had my qualifications assessed by the Australian Podiatry Council. So this is the old accreditation. You have to get your qualifications assessed by ANZPAC (Australian and New Zealand Podiatry Accreditation Council) and and I believe we both have to go complete the new registration application.

I did my first aid course at EDETA at Fort Kinnaird just a few months ago. I did the 3 day course but as we only need to cover CPR as part of the accreditation I'm sure the one day course will be ok.

I'm hoping to leave for Australia in September - assuming the new registration wont take this long. I have emailed the podiatry board last week regarding my registration but still no reply. Also the recruitment agency I have contact with in Australia isn't having much luck contacting them by phone either.

I'm still in the process of securing the right job but at least things are in motion! Hope registration will straight forward.

    Cheers

Did you have much trouble going through the ANZPAC process? I'll look into that!
    Thanks again!
