Hey, looking at setting up my own business, and wondering does anyone have a ball park figure Basic consumables cost? And basic equipment required for ood ie chair drill basics equipment needed to set up generay pod businesses ? Clearly this will vary depending on quality of equipment . Thanks for your help.

Hi really do your homework and remember if you buy equipment like chairs and drills from overseas you will need to pay a substantial amount extra in taxes etc to land it in NZ. For example I paid roughly $5,500 for a level entry chair that was $2,800.

Honestly I feel the equipment / consumable costs aren't really the issue in my opinion...

I think rent and patient supply is your key concerns...

Whats your plan with rent / place of practice...

I give you the name of my clippers tmr and some other equipment that I think is good.

Ok.... Let me stop you there....

I think what you should understand that its... really hard to set up a practice.... Costs aren't the issue at all... Its patients and the ability of patients to pay for your service...

    Now for equipment....
I would buy the best clippers you can buy... Do buy cheap clippers...
I would buy a Berchtold Drill
The other stuff really doesn't matter... ie the brand of your blacks file, scalpel etc honestly it doesn't matter
