I am set to complete my Podiatry degree in the UK this May. Following graduation, I intend to acquire 12 months of NHS experience here before relocating to Australia next year alongside my partner, who is currently practicing as a doctor in the UK. Is anyone aware if I would be eligible to apply for registration to practice in Australia after gaining one year of experience before moving?

    Hi Alex,
Fellow student here. I’m looking to immigrate to aus too. I believe you should be able to register with AHPRA as soon as you get your HCPC. I’m hoping to move either through sponsorship or WHV by next Feb.
    Good luck with everything!

    Hi Alex,
I’m a clinic owner and have recently gone through this process with a pod moving from South Africa to Melbourne. If you want I should be able to give you a little more info and answer some of the questions you have. My best contact is stuart@podiumpodiatry.com.au
I only check pod arena occasionally
    Cheers
