I am not a podiatrist, but I make a living building horseshoes and fabricating splints, orthotics and prosthetic limbs for animals at the UPenn School of Veterinary Medicine.

This is a great forum, and I hope you don't mind is I ask for some technical assistance from time to time.

I am not sure how I ended up here, but I can certainly provide some interesting questions for you. I have a dog with a tear in the Achilles tendon (and a previous surgical failure of the same apparatus on the opposite hind limb, and I need to design a support brace over the weekend. I have a goat coming in next week for a fitting of a prosthetic limb, and I have some ongoing work with the F-scan in shoe force measuring system.



I am way over my head, and I will be very happy if people here can help me out.
