Just saw a post on the College of podiatry website how they've appointed a 'Council champion' for equality and diversity'. Seems like just lip service to me rather than a committed approach to implementing diversity. First off, wouldn't it have been a sensible idea to actually make the 'diversity champion' someone who is actually from a diversity group? And when was the last time the college of Podiatry had someone from a diverse background in a senior role? The answer is never. Meh.
