Deep pain in the instep of the foot

Hi there,
I am experiencing a deep pain in the instep of the foot. I thought it was because my foot needed warmth and I used socks but there was no use. But I feel better when I tie my foot with a warm towel. I don't know the actual reason for the pain. It comes often nowadays and I need a solution for it. I can't tie my foot with the towel while I go for work so I need an alternative solution.
