Dorsal Peroneal Nerve? I assume they mean the deep peroneal nerve, which in today's language is the deep fibular nerve. I am just old enough (63) to remember the medial and lateral popliteal nerves (tibial and common peroneal), but never the dorsal peroneal. To those who have issues about language, fibular mean "pin". as in a darning needle. Many polynesian islands still use a pig fibular to darn with. That was the Latin version. The Greeks used peroneal - and their mindset was a "broach pin" - as in a safety pin - can you see a tib/fib combination in there? My Greek anatomy mate tells me that in the Greek army, the safety pin in a hand grenade is called a peronei.............. Its all in the words, Rob
