The bootmaker to Lincoln was also a Chiropodist and Chiropody Surgeon, I the 19th century, he was one of the first to recognize the need for scientific training for Podiatry practitioners. A strong advocate for importance of caring for the feet, he equated good foot health with happiness and a sound body.
