    Hi,

I am considering moving to Canada for work in 2014 for 1-2 years and was wondering if anyone could advise me on how I go about working as a Podiatrist in Canada. I obtained my Podiatry degree in Australia and have a 2 years private practice experience currently.

    Thank you for your help.

Its pretty much impossible. I looked into this option over 12 months ago. I dont think our qualifications are recognised over there without further study.

It's possible if you look in the right places. Keep in mind that health care is regulated provincially, not nationally. Also, I did double check with our registrar before making my previous post.

    Hi Hannah

I graduate with a Uk podiatry degree this summer and will in my new clinic in Nova Scotia in less than three weeks.

My employer had to obtain an Labour Market Opinion form: this came back positive. I then got a police check $40 and medical £300 and then applied for my visa. This actually came through really fast. I have also applied for membership of the NSPA AND Canbadian federation. Any more question please feel free to ask me!
