    Hello everyone,

    Hi,

I studied at Huddersfield and was quite dubious at first as i was considered a mature student...it was the best thing i have done. The support and structure there is second to none and trust me you will not be the eldest on the course.

Any help or advice i can give please ask

Thanks Blue 123 :). I'm decided to do this course and will try my best to get in to Huddersfield uni and now I have to think what I should write to impress the tutor :D.

    Hi

I chose to do Podiatry at Huddersfield after working in retail management so quite a change! I'm in the 3rd year now and am 38. I'm not the oldest on my course but there is a very good mix of ages and backgrounds. Regards RichD73 (new to Pod Arena too!)

Hi there, I'm a current 2nd year 'mature' student at Huddersfield and I am loving it.
I agree with the previous posts that the level of teaching and support are second to none.

I think the oldest in my year (don't quote me) is 48 and they want their own private practice! Take the plunge, be prepared to work and enjoy yourself

I am now retired, but taught in Tech and uni for 32 years (both podiatry and anatomy). In that time some of the best students have been mature students - 36? You haven't even started! Get in there and do it. I graduated a 50 yo PhD a few years ago - and have had two over 60yo pod grads over the years. Age is a virtue, not a handicap! Rob (and by the way, Hudds is a fine university)
