Probably look into treatment for plantar fasciitis. Start by stretching it when you wake up - rolling the arch over a tennis ball whilst applying downward pressure will be a good massage for around 2 min throughout the day x 3. Putting your affected foot on your other knee and pulling the toes towards the knee for 10 sec x 10 can be effective 3x per day. Calf stretching may also be required. Do not stretch if pain is felt - ease off on the stretch/pressure. Low Dye strapping can be worn (google) and see a podiatrist for footwear/ differential diagnosis. Avoid cortisone from the GP until you have seen a podiatrist. Cheers, Pip
