As I mentioned in this thread I am a subscriber to Men's Health magazine and one of my favourite little bits in it is when it reports the month's 'least suprising research'. Knowing what lovers of research we are on here (just ask Dennis) I thought I would start reproducing them here.

Here's a recap of the 2 from the May edition:

People who are scared of going to the dentist suffer from more oral health problems. University of Otago, New Zealand

Helmets reduce head injuries. Canadian Medical Association Journal

The June edition has these nuggets for us:

Warm-ups probably improve performance. Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research

Smokers inhale their own second-hand smoke. Journal of Environmental Health

A recent study found that 3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the world's population.

  5. I was going to go with "20% of sick leave is taken on a monday. But I thought I'd better check my facts so I found a study which surprisingly (and interestingly) showed.

    We've all been there!

Ha! Well they make SUCH a fuss when they get a cold! Weaker sex and such. Can't hold it against them:D

Bet its June in the bottom half of the world!

Sorry. Off topic but I thought i'd share.

  9. Robert if PP is in the future I´ve just thought of a name which fits in more ways than one.

"Newtonian Podiatry" with logo `Putting the force back in your feet`.

So the Isaac bit fits and it will get under Dennis skin as a bonus.

    Here is July's research:

You can maintain your weight if you exercise and eat a normal diet. Brigham & Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston.

Men tend to be attracted to women who have a large breast-to-hip ratio. Georgia Gwinnet College, US.
