    Passed on in good faith.

In the UK the National Diabetes Audit <http://www.hscic.gov.uk/nda> will be launching the National Diabetes Foot Care Audit (NDFA) <http://www.diabetes.org.uk/Professionals/Service-improvement/National-Diabetes-Audit/>. The aim of this new national audit is to support clinical teams to deliver better care and outcomes for people with diabetes who develop foot ulcers.

The NDFA is still in the development phase, but it is likely that participating services will only need to record a small amount of data for each new foot ulcer. We want to minimise the local data collection burden and will be using data which is recorded elsewhere will where possible. It will be an ongoing data collection with an annual data submission deadline to enable analysis and reporting of the previous year’s data.
