I performed it on the third of June, dry dressing, prescribed Oxaciline (5 days). I had a phenol burn on the lateral side. 4-5 days after the antibiotic developed a red, inflamed skin where the avulsion was. The patient got Ciprofloxacin. It improved a bit, but it is still inflamed and tender (day 4 post Ciprofloxacin). Also it is oozing (no pus, only a little blood). Local care: iodine, oxygenated water and fusidic acid. The nail was treated before and it was a regrowth. What to do next? Radiography?

I would give it another day or two, then yes x-rays and culture.
