Hi there, i just wondered what people's thoughts were about a reconstructed nail? Do they damage the surrounding area?

 

What do you mean by a reconstructed nail? A fake nail?

 

Yes. Some Podiatry practices in the uk have this on their website as a service they provide for people who have very little nail or no nail. Apparently it last up to 12 weeks. I just wondered what ppls thoughts were on this? I never came across it in my podiatry training, but i just wondered whether the procedure in the long term could damage the surrounding area?? or is it something a podiatrist should never recomend?
