hi sorry if this seems a little dim, but i have searched as well as i am able (being technologically challenged) and i have not been able to find any boots suitable for an elderly patient of mine who wears a caliper, and would prefer a 7 eyelet boot as the one he has been supplied with has only 5 and the ankle strap cuts into his leg.
i know someone out there will have an answer:)
thanking all and any who can help

Go to your local Pedorthist and get them to put on an extension to the existing boot.

The simple answers are usually the best and quickest results

dear david thank you for your idea, it is excellent. unfortunately the existing boots are on their last legs, (please excuse the pun a very bad family trait), and are not suitable for alteration. the boots my patient has found available are mostly dr. martins which unfortunately don't have a suitable sole for fitting a caliper apparently:(
if you have any other ideas for a boot ready made with seven eyelets, or anyone else out there knows of a website where the company doesn't expect you to buy a container load (as one site did haha), i would again be extremely grateful.
    thanking in advance to all

    If all else fails.
Then buy a new boot and do the mod to that one.
As far as the Dr M. are concerned, have the sole removed and replace it with a sole more suitable for a caliper
