Why are so many podiatry jobs only part-time?

 

Something to do with the increase in BK amputations....

 

I work part time and love it! means more time for my family

 

Factors include.....* In private practice, building reputation and rapport with patients takes time and effort - so it is cheaper to employ a pod part time - until there are enough patients besotted with the new pod - so that the boss keeps financially afloat. *In the public sector - money is tight.. * In either sector- 38 hours per week patient contact can be quite hard on mind and body - employers know this. *There are full-time jobs in the bush - or a combination of part time jobs in a region - prepared to travel, find a place to live, build a new network? *Good Luck
