When can I stop using special boot after cheilectomy

    I'm 8 days post op (hallux limitus stage 1.5) and still with stitches but I think I should be able to wear normal shoes or sandals if my foot fits them. What am I missing? I can walk normally with my post op shoe, I can take a shower with no boot and a plastic bag on that foot (but with all the weight on both feet), and tonight I was at a party where I was standing up for three hours.

    On day 6 doctor removed most dressings and said everything is looking good - almost no swelling. I'll...
