Hi all, just wanting thoughts on a client who came to see me regarding the recommendation of zero drop minimalist military boots for the Australian army.

long story short is an extremely long hx of MTSS with various orthoses being unsuccessful, recent physio sessions has led him to gait retraining into a forefoot strike, using zero drop running shoes it the merrel vapour gloves. He is now only have anterior shin pain when in his regular ( standard issue) miltary boots. He has approached me for a rec for a zero drop boot to be able to be issued to his for use in his role.
the particular boot he has in mind is the Belleville mini mil which has either a 5mm drop or zero drop. i guess my concern is that walking/ pack marching he wont have that forefoot strike but more the heel strike, so im compelled to coax him to start with the 5mm drop ( as compared to a standard 15mm drop). all other specs of the boots look fine and ''reviews' seem good.

any comments or concerns anyone can add?
    TIA
