Prosharp Sharpening Services or Prosharp Podiatry is the premier podiatry instrument sharpening and repair service in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. Prosharp have been sharpening since 1974 and about 12 years ago developed their own particular methods to repair and remanufacture podiatry instruments.

We now have a large range of spare parts that suit all brands of instruments such as replacement springs, screws etc. We have what we call a remanufacturing process where all of the instruments that are sent to us, which are mostly nail clippers, blacks files and nail splitters return to the customer looking and cutting like new instruments. We also polish stained instruments to bring back their original shine as part of the process. All of our work is guaranteed to be carried out to our very high standards.
The general conception is that instruments are nowhere near as good as new after sharpening. This is untrue and we have many repeat customers who can testify to this fact. The cost saving on getting instruments refurbished versus new is significant as the sharpening is only $18.00 per instrument plus cost of any parts required for repair. Instruments that have cracked hinges when they arrive are welded at a small additional cost so that the jaws can be properly realigned and tightened. Those instruments that have been dropped resulting in damage to the tips can be re-shaped during the sharpening process at no extra charge. Seized instrument hinges are something that we see frequently when refurbishing and these can be loosened easily. We will discuss prevention and treatment of this problem in a future email.
We currently have almost 1000 podiatrists who have used our services with many repeat customers amongst them from all over Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
We have a very good working relationship with all of our customers including those we have met at the conferences and trade shows we have attended.
