Hi Everybody,I have been overseas of a few years and have used Cad Cam 3D scanning technology to send the sample casts information to the Orthotic Labs
I Found this to be a economical way to process the cast and quicker return times from a Lab.
Is anybody doing this in Australia and where are they.
    Who are the recommended Labs
Also any feed back on the Labs in question,
    Regards
    Rosso

Hi That is not the technology I was thinking of
We molded the normal casts them 3D scanned them and sent them to a lab for manufacturer with instructions for manufacture. Product result was very good, may be because of the Lab involved.
Quik return from Lab and I'm suprised there is not a lot more use as Australians pick up on technology change very quickly.
    Regards

    Hi Rosso,
We use a CAD-CAM company in South Australia (CAD-CAM Orthotics), phone (08)8352 4599
At our clinic we send the negative casts to the lab, and they then scan and milll the devices and post them back, turn around is a bit over a week.

    Hi Rosso,

Ditto what Suzie said... We use CAD-CAM and find them to be awesome, really efficient and great results...

Call Tony Dwyer (Director) on 0416 116 495 to talk about the system, he's using a modified Amfit system, and has developed great prescription forms to make things easy to use. He's in the process of developing his Laser Scanner which scans the foot or cast at your clinic and then sends the electronic data to the lab for manufacture...

    Hope this helps...

    Regards,

    Donna ;)

    Hey Rosso,

I've made a boo boo, the lab owner has informed me that CADCAM Orthotics used to use the Amfit system, but they actually have a new CADCAM system, and have used that for some years now...

As Boot n All mentioned you can contact Amfit directly regarding their system... but not sure of their contact details...

    Regards

    Donna
