My name is Maureen. I'm not a podiatrist myself, but I work as an editor for Podosophia, the Dutch Journal for podiatrists. The group of podiatrists in the Netherlands is very small - about 600 - on a population of some 16.5 million inhabitents.

I know that the powers of podotherapists vary worldwide and I look forward to read what's playing in various countries. So I will often take a look at the forum and I'm sure I will learn a lot.

Thank you for welcoming me. I'm very curious if there will be more replies to the tread you've started about Podiatry in 2020. I wonder if there will be more unity worldwide in the education of podiatrists - it probably will with the launch of the International Academy - and in what podiatrists are allowed to do. I also wonder if ensurance companies will involve podiatry in footcare as self evident. And indeed if there will be a cure to diabetic and the consequences of that for podiatritst. It would be great to make several future scenarios.
